Communication Event - Estonia
Within the frames of the YENESIS capitalisation task, SEI Tallinn held a seminar on 02.11.2021 with the Estonian stakeholders that work with NEETs and policies regarding them. The seminar was to verify and map the barriers that presently may hinder the activities regarding youth unemployment and respective policy measures both on an EU and national level. The seminar was conducted in an interactive format by using Mural platform where the stakeholders had the opportunity to vote and participate in a discussion. Information was also shared regarding the wider scope and content of the YENESIS project itself.
How can you find solutions without understanding the problem? Grasping how climate change works is the challenge of the 21st century!
Seventeen NEETs of YENESIS project participated in four Climate Fresk workshops, being part of the mission to raise awareness about climate change. Climate transition requires innovative, participatory and efficient training tools. The Climate Fresk workshops are designed to raise awareness of climate change issues and train people on the fundamentals of climate science, with a fun and collaborative way. In particular, the workshop breaks down the scientific information collected by the IPCC and summarises it on 42 cards. DAFNI – Network of Sustainable Greek Islands partner and Cyprus Energy Agency partner organized and facilitated the four workshops aiming at fostering the collaboration between NEETs from different countries in order to provide solutions applicable to climate change enhancing the creation of more green jobs in European islands.

Communication Event - Italy
On the 24th of February our Italian partner, the Sapienza Università di Roma held an online event in collaboration with the Renewable Energy Community of the Interreg MED Programme and within the ETU initiative, a multilevel governance model that works as a roadmap for islands, villages, and even cities to join the green energy transition based on social innovation

On the 22nd of February, our Croatian partner, Sdewes Centre, in collaboration with PentaHelix project, held an online event with more than 50 participants with the participation of local industries, NGOs, SMEs and public authorities. During the Event, the e-learning platform and networking platform were presented along with the progress of the project. Additionally, one of the Croatian project participants presented his experience in the project and how it helped him to start his own business.
Online coordination meeting
On the 28th of January, our project partners held an online meeting and discussed the progress of the project, the challenges faced during the Covid-19 crisis, and how to work together to overcome them!
Workshop on "Green Jobs in the Waste sector"
On the 25th of November our partner, Frederik University, hosted an online discussion on Green Jobs in the waste sector. The workshop was held on the framework of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR).
The EWWR is an annual international campaign, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment – Department of Environment, aiming to encourage waste control through the organization and implementation of awareness-raising actions. This year, the EWWR took place on 21 – 29 November 2020.
Online coordination meeting
On the 20th of October, the project partners held a coordination meeting and discussed the progress of the project, the challenges faced during the Covid-19 crisis, and how to work together to overcome them!
4th PROJECT BIANNUAL MEETING
On June 3rd the project partners held their 4th partner’s meeting.
During the meeting, the partners discussed the progress of the project,the challenges they face during this period, the completed outcomes so far, and the upcoming activities.
Unfortunately for this meeting, we had to trade the beautiful city of Rome for the virtual world, but we are sure that we will get to see each other again soon!
Educational training events
During the last weeks, 7 educational trainings have been held by the YENESIS consortium. One-week trainings, tailored to young professionals islanders, have been organised and implemented in each one of the Country Partners in order to train the attendees in the thematic areas of Renewable Energy Sources; Energy Efficiency; Sustainable Mobility; Sustainable Tourism and Business Innovation.

COMMUNICATION EVENT - SPAIN
During the month of December our Spanish partner, the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands , presented the YENESIS project in a series of communication events they organised with local youth and stakeholders. The aim of the events was to provide participants with basic information on sustainable and clean energy technologies and discuss with them their potential contribution towards the energy transition in the Canary Islands, as well as the possibilities for the creation of new green jobs from a shift to a low carbon economy.

AREAM – (Agency for Energy and Environment of the Autonomous Region of Madeira) organized the second project biannual meeting in Funchal, Madeira, on 13th and 14th of May 2019.During the meeting, the partners discussed the project’s progresses and outcomes so far and planned the next steps. During the meeting the new Estonian partner SEI Tallinn (Stockholm Environment Institute Tallinn) was introduced to the project.
KICK OFF MEETING- Nicosia,Cyprus

On the 13th and 14th of November 2018, the YENESIS consortium met for the first time in the project Kick of Meeting. The Lead Partner, Cyprus Energy Agency, organized the meeting that was held in Centrum hotel Nicosia. The main objective of the Kick of Meeting was the introduction and explanation of the YENESIS Project, the description of the activities and planning of next steps. On the 14th, we held the launch event to present the project to the public and particularly to the NEETs that might benefit from YENESIS.
